All across California, our work is impacted by public policy. Whether it's the state legislature in Sacramento or your local county board of supervisors, legislation and policy directly affects our wages, benefits, working conditions and even our rights on the job. While there is not much we can do as individuals, it's by coming together as a union that we have a voice.

We can help set important public policy by identifying and supporting pro-worker candidates, holding elected officials accountable in office, and lobbying our representatives so they know what California's public service workers need to keep delivering vital services to our communities. It's through these actions that we're involved in setting the policies that directly impact our work.
